About Us

Hey, everybody, my name is Joey and I was inspired to make this amazing hot sauce for the love of my life, Lisa! We are committed to taking care of our bodies and our health - so when Lisa said one day that she wished they didn't put SUGAR in all the hot sauces out there I got to work! I went to the Farmer's Market in Mar Vista, CA the next day and found a woman who grows organic hot peppers - crazy ones! I came home and used the Italian cooking skills my 90-year-old Calabrian mother passed down to me over the years to make a hot sauce for Lisa.

Roasting and keeping true to the integrity and quality to create a hot sauce for her using the finest ingredients. It came out awesome! She loved it! The next day I was bragging about it to my colleague, Mishka Bier, and he wanted in. Starting this whole journey into becoming an artisanal hot sauce maker!

Being healthy is complex. There is no one approach or quick fix. We all need to take responsibility for what we are putting into our bodies, the company that we keep in our life, exercise that we do and reading labels that are marketed as being "healthy" because all too often they are not. So I was inspired to make a product that people can trust. 

That is why Joey's Hot Sauce is important to me. There’s nothing I love more than making a healthy option for people and my hot sauce on everybody’s stories when they’re sharing it on Instagram and Facebook — it’s so rewarding!
