This is year three making this super limited seasonal flavor—and it always sells out and people ask me constantly at the markets when it will be back! This was the first mild sauce I had ever made.
Years ago I met race car driver Ryan Daniels, #117. Ryan is such a huge Joey's fan he gave me the opportunity to sponsor him and he put my logo on the hood of his, and his son Jax's race cars. My face has hit the finish line in first place with Ryan behind the wheel.
Ryan's roots expand deep into New Mexico, the historic Fleming Hall was named after his great great grandfather at Western New Mexico University. Ryan's mom introduced him to the indigenous New Mexican Hatch Chiles we used in this limited edition sauce. He ate them in everything growing up—including his Mac & Cheese!
