This is my second year creating this hot sauce with special Calabrian chilis (where my family is from in southern Italy). This year, my cousin Aurelio sourced the Calabrian chili seeds, and Patrick from Red Buttes Farm planted them locally. These chilis are earthy and bursting with flavor, paired with deliciously sweet local Jimmy Nardello peppers from Red Butte Farm and Scotch Bonnets from Fry Family Farm, which bring heat, zest, and pack a punch!
The word "Paisana" is a term of endearment for your fellow compatriot, and we share camaraderie in living in southern Oregon and LOVING hot sauce. Flespy's is nestled in Grants Pass, OR, with a warm, homey vibe, an enormous hot sauce wall, live entertainment, karaoke, and a beautiful covered patio. It's simply a great place to meet new friends, have fun, and make memories.
